Our Wedding

It all began with a playful round of mini golf in Sherman Oaks, CA — a first date full of laughter, light-hearted competition, and the spark of something special. As our connection grew, we took our first trip together to beautiful San Diego, creating unforgettable memories and falling even more in love. Over the next year, we learned our passion for good food, sporting events and sea shantys. Over a year later, Cameron got down on one knee on the cliffs of Palos Verdes, with the ocean stretching out beside us and the city of Los Angeles in the distance. It was a breathtaking moment — intimate, thoughtful, and filled with love. On March 28 2025, we said "I Do!" with close family and friends. On July 29, 2026, we can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family at the breathtaking NewHall Estate, enjoying great company and memories over our love.

There are two events with many out of country guests from several traditions and cultures attending. To make sure all our guests are comfortable we are providing some additional information for you.

July 28, 6:00pm, Estate OpensThe Night Before, Welcome BBQ, 7:00- 8:00 Dinner ServedAttire: Casual.This event is being held on the Newhall Estate. The estate has walking paths, gardens and places to explore. Lawn games will be available if weather permits. We will also have a fire pit going and an opportunity to make smore's. The dress is casual. Please be comfortable and enjoy the estate. If it rains the event will be held indoors. Jeans, casual pants or casual dress are all appropriate. We recommend you dress for the weather so you can spend some time enjoying the grounds even if it is lightly raining if you choose to do so. The main house has a library and gathering rooms with games and music. Please RSVP if you will be joining us for dinner or not so we may advise the caterers. If you cannot make dinner please feel free to come by the Estate later. Event ends 9:30pm

July 29, 2:30pm: Estate Opens to Guests gathering and music.3:00pm Wedding Ceremony starts. Followed by a reception, dinner and dancing, late night snacks and fire pit.Attire: Formal / Black-Tie (Optional)We hope to have the ceremony and drinks reception outside in the walled garden and patio. Dinner and dancing will be held indoors in the Coach House with the patio and fire pits open for the dancing celebration. This will depend on the weather. If the weather does not cooperate all events will be indoors but regardless, the different events require short walks outside to some of the different event spaces. The Estate provides umbrellas for all guests. Please consider appropriate wraps/garments for the weather.

Event Details

Attire: For the Wedding Day Men:It is the custom in Scotland for men to wear kilts to weddings including guests. The people of Scotland are NOT offended by Americans and other nationalities dressing in their traditional attire. Suits, Tux or Kilt are all appropriate. The groom, wedding party, family and many guests will be in traditional kilt outfits. Please join in the tradition if you choose. The Brides father has chosen a formal tux. Guests will be in Suits or Kilt outfits. It is your choice. The groom and bridal party have chosen Kilts-4-U located in Glasgow with multiple locations. <a href="www.kilts-4-u.com ." rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.kilts-4-u.com .</a>Another option is Macgregor &amp; MacDuff, <a href="https://macgregorandmacduff.co.uk" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://macgregorandmacduff.co.uk</a>, with locations in Edinburgh and Glasgow areas and has online fittings as well as delivery services. There are many providers so feel free to shop around. If you choose delivery: Many wedding hire companies offer delivery to the venue or accommodation. If you are part of the wedding party/spouse/guest and will be arranging a delivery to the venue (Newhall Estate) please let us know so we can alert the venue. Women:Evening gowns, cocktail dresses all lengths are appropriate as well as kilt dresses for those wanting traditional dress. All paths between the event spaces are paved or hard packed gravel. Heels will work however if the weather cooperates the ceremony will be in the garden lawns on grass. Regardless please feel free to bring along a change of shoes. Your comfort is important and this will be a long fun day with walking to various parts of the estate and of course dancing! The venue will have a room/place to keep bags, wraps, coats. Weather: Scotland at this time of year can be warm sunny and beautiful clear skies OR it could be chilly and rainy OR more than likely we will get both. Please consider a wrap or coat according to the weather. The venue provides umbrellas for all guests. Tuesday night BBQ: CasualCasual dress, pants, jeans are all welcome. Shoes: You may just want to walk the path to the waterfall or say hello to the local highland cow! Plan accordingly.

The property is next door to the wedding venue and has 4 one bedroom cottages (only sleeps 2 adults) for individual rent with a 2-night stay min. The cottages are open now for booking. Book on line. The Craigie Hotel This is the property we are recommending if you want to come in for 1 or 2 nights because it is close (8 min drive from venue) and has a restaurant, bar, outdoor areas. (no elevator), close to town and the Pentland Hills National Park. We visited this place in December.This is a lovely 16 room hotel. We have 6 additional rooms booked at this hotel to be sure our guests have accommodations at a very busy time in this area. Travel/Accommodations

Parking: Plenty of parking is available on the Newhall Estate grounds. Transportation: If you plan on using ride share or private hire to and from the venue please take note: Uber and Lyft are NOT reliable in this area and if they do show up they are very expensive. There are plenty of private ride providers who are very reasonable and reliable. These transportation options are listed below. We are looking in to providing shuttles from the Craigie Hotel, Peggyslea Farm and the Penicuik Estate and others as warranted depending on our guests chosen accommodations. When you RSVP we ask for your accommodation location as a separate question. Please respond to that so we can arrange or assist with transportation as appropriate.
